Russell Hosts Annual Veterans Day Program

Russell VFW Post member served as Honor Guard at Monday's Veteran's Day program at the Russell County Veterans Memorial.

Russell VFW Post 6240 hosted its annual Veterans Day Program on Monday, November 11 at Russell County Veterans Memorial next to the Russell Golf Course.

This year’s program honored all men and women who have served and are currently serving. Russell VFW Post Commander Lance Waymaster served as emcee.

Doug Renard was the featured speaker and spoke about how Veteran's Day came about.

Ken Jeroue provided the invocation and benediction. Rachel Sipe sang the National Anthem. Post members joined in the Honor Guard.

The program was broadcast live on KRSL AM 990 and 98.1 FM and streamed on KRSL.com.
