Russell Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash Saturday in Sherman County

A Russell man was injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday in Sherman County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 10 AM on September 28, a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 40-year-old Brandon John Knipp of Russell was westbound on Old Highway 24 just west of County Road 21 when the front brake locked up.

The motorcycle then entered the north ditch and traveled in the ditch for approximately 100 feet before coming to rest on its left side.

Knipp was taken to Goodland Regional Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.

A passenger, 38-year-old Shelby Ann Knipp of Russell, was not injured.

Neither were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
