Russell Man Injured Tuesday in Motorcycle Wreck

A Russell man was injured Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle wreck in Russell.

According to Russell Police Chief Jordan Harrison, at 1:36 PM Tuesday, 66-year-old Ralph Stierlen of Russell was attempting to make a turn at the intersection of 15th and Lincoln Streets in Russell on his 2011 Suzuki motorcycle when the rear tire slipped and came out from under him, laying the bike over.

Harrison said Stierlen was taken to Russell Regional Hospital by Russell County EMS with suspected minor injuries.

Stierlen was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
