2020 Santa Button Winners

Each year, Russell Main Street, Inc. hosts a contest with Ruppenthal Middle School students that challenges art students to design a button, which then is utilized for the raffle to give away a specially handcrafted Santa Claus.

This year, the committee selected five winners for the contest: RaeAnn White, Cambrea Solze, Madison Wieger, Angelina Bonaccorso and Jenna Leiker. RMSI was able to present the winners with their prizes Thursday morning and with the very first button to be made with their design.

The button designs will be made into buttons, which will be sold for $5 each. Each button serves as a raffle ticket to the Santa Claus giveaway.

The Santa Claus is specially handcrafted by Loretta Miller from Great Bend. The Santa is currently on display at 7th and Main.

Buttons will go on sale Friday, November 30 in the following locations: A Full House, Cook's, Gudenkauf & Malone, Mickey's Flower Company, Myers Furniture, The Dream Theater, The Closet Boutique, The Mecca Plaza, Woelk's and russellmainstreet.com.

This year a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Dustin Poche Medical Fund in support of his battle with cancer.
