Timken Man Injured in One-Vehicle Crash Tuesday in Ellis County

A Timken man was injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday in Ellis County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 2:53 PM Tuesday, a 2006 Honda Accord driven by 26-year-old Jimi Wayne Hill of Timken was southbound on US Highway 183 at South County Line Road.

The driver fell asleep, went off the road to the west, overcorrected and then crossed US Highway 183 to the east where the vehicle struck a utility pole.

Hill was taken to Hays Medical Center with possible injuries and the complaint of pain.

He was buckled up at the time of the crash.
