UPDATE: RCACF $16,320 Away From Reaching Match Month Goal

Halfway through its November Match Month, the Russell County Area Community Foundation (RCACF) is $16,320 short of its fundraising goal of $70,000 and asks area residents and businesses to consider a gift to help get them over the top. 

In November, Russell County could earn dollars for charitable grants in our communities through a county-wide Match Month gift matching
campaign at RCACF.

“For every dollar donated in November to the Fund for a Better Russell County Area, two dollars is matched by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation up to $50,000 and one dollar is matched by the Patterson Family Foundation up to $70,000. A successful match generates an additional gift to the foundation’s operations by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation. If we meet our fundraising goal of $70,000, the total benefit to our area will be over $240,000,” said RCACF Director Angie Muller.

The Fund for a Better Russell County Area allows the foundation to make impactful grants to support the arts, education, park development, hunger relief, downtown revitalization, historical preservation, music festivals, recycling and community clean-up, the hospital, libraries and more.

“We are celebrating National Community Foundation Week and are excited about Match Month as an investment in the future of the Russell County Area. We hope people will think about the things they love most about our communities and invest in Match Month so those things live on for generations to come. RCACF is building community grant-making funds so we grow a better Russell County area,” said Muller.

RCACF is an affiliate of Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation and donations are tax-deductible. There are several ways donors can give, including cash, credit card, stock, grain, livestock or IRA disbursement. Make checks to RCACF Match Month, P.O. Box 172, Russell, KS 67665. Credit cards are accepted at rcacf.org. Donations must be received by November 30 to qualify for the match.
