USD 407 BOE Approves March Bond Election at Special Meeting

The USD 407 Board of Education held a special meeting on Monday, December 1 at 5:30 pm in the District Building boardroom. Out of the few items, a discussion about a March Bond Election stuck out.

The board held public forum, and one gentleman addressed the board. Superintendent Jordan Perez answered his questions.

Next, Mandy Trout with the Steering Committee and Troy Hertel, Executive Vice President of Schaefer Architecture, presented points from the community meeting that was held regarding the bond election. They then started to discuss a possible March Bond Election, to which a motion was made for a resolution allowing for the calling of a March Bond Election. This motion passed unanimously.

The last item in the meeting regarded staffing. The board accepted the resignation of RJSHS Custodian Justin Sullivan.

The next regular meeting for the USD 407 Board of Education will be Monday, December 8, at 5:30 pm in the District Building boardroom.
