USD 407 BOE Votes to Move Forward with HVAC at Simpson Elementary School

The Russell County USD 407 Board of Education met Monday evening and voted to move forward with a project to install a new heating, ventilation and air conditioning system at Simpson Elementary School.

The Board has been discussing HVAC at Simpson and Ruppenthal Middle School for the last several months.

None of the district's four attendance centers have full HVAC systems.

Also Monday, the Board accepted Activities Director Scott Nuss' resignation effective November 8.

This school year is the fourth in Russell for Nuss.

Also Monday, the Board discussed COVID protocols and voted to allow Russell High School's FFA to work with local 4-H clubs for use of the FFA Farm on the high school property.
