USD 407: No School Tuesday, November 24
Russell County USD 407 has announced there will be no school on Tuesday, November 24.
The district released the following statement:
"We have significant issues with school-based exposure at RHS and nearing staffing inability at RMS. We are tracing exposure and diagnosis to our school classroom and activities.
USD 407 will have a snow day tomorrow, 11/24, as we need to absorb the illness that is already out there and reduce the risk to our immune systems and COVID’s impact to all. There will be no assigned remote classes.
It's a snow day so I say the same thing right now as if it were snowing: STAY HOME, STAY SAFE! Things are getting way too real and we need all to help USD 407 manage these details and wellness. Please do not gather in groups outside of your immediate household(s). Please wear masks in public or other crowded places. Please stay home when ill or have been tested. Due to staffing issues being the main concern at RMS, the basketball games at home tonight will CONTINUE. THERE ARE NO FANS ALLOWED!"
