Windscheffel Family Named 2023 Russell Family of the Year

Windscheffel Family
Windscheffel Family

As Russell Main Street, Inc. serves the community and makes Russell a better place for all, it is important to take a minute to recognize the families that make us a community.

RMSI knows Russell has many outstanding families, but it is their honor to recognize one deserving family each year.

Please join RMSI in saying job well done to the 2023 Russell Family of the Year, the Windscheffel family, Jake and Kristen, along with their daughter Journey.

The nomination letters for the Windscheffel's honor are summarized as:

"Jake, Kristen and Journey Windscheffel are dedicated members of the Russell community. They are selfless and generous with their time and talents. Aside from working in their roles as a local pharmacist and financial advisor, the Windscheffel family volunteers to serve on numerous community boards, coaching positions and civic groups. They are members of Trinity United Methodist Church, helping serve within their church. Jake is a pharmacist for Midwest Family Health in Russell. He is professional and devoted within this role, keeping his patient's best care in mind. Kristen is a financial advisor for Edward Jones in Russell. She displays her faith, her compassion and her unmatched spirit to all. Their daughter Journey, is a sixth grader at RMS. She is involved in school, is a good teammate on varying sports teams, and is kind to all her peers. The Windscheffel's positive spirit, can-do attitude and motivation for improvement on all levels in Russell is truly inspirational. The whole Windscheffel family is inclusive and encouraging and very well-deserving of this recognition."

Congratulations to the Windscheffel family and thank you for all you do for our community. The Windscheffel family will be honored in Main Street fashion during Russell's Lighted Christmas Parade on November 25.
