Donald Lee Weseloh, age 64 of Sylvan Grove, Kansas, died September 9, 2021 at Salina Regional Health Center after battling an extended illness.

Don was born in Lucas, Kansas on October 10, 1956 to Walter W. and Gertrude L. (Groth) Weseloh. He was a self-employed farmer.

Don lived his entire life on the family farm. He graduated from Sylvan High School in 1974 and then took over the farming operation from his father after graduating. He farmed for 46 years, raising and working with cattle, as well as growing wheat, milo and soybeans. Farming was very much a passion for Don, as he was always studying and reading how to improve his crop yields and cattle herd. When feeding cattle in the spring he always enjoyed watching the baby calves jump around and play.

Don enjoyed spending time with his family, including his grandchildren, and would always make time to attend school and sporting events that were important. One of his favorite pastimes included taking family vacations to discover and visit new places. He was also very generous in donating his time to help within the community. He served on the Farmers Elevator Board and the Golden Belt Township Board for many years.

Don is survived by his wife, Janet of the home, sons Adam (Kalesha) Weseloh of Haviland, Kansas and Jared (Colleen) Weseloh of Polson, Montana, as well as three grandchildren, Kaden, Mason and Kai Weseloh.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11 AM at Sylvan Grove's Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Tammy Walker Cancer in Salina, Kansas.

Rodrick and Minear Funeral Home of Sylvan Grove is in charge of the arrangements.
