Bronco Golf Places 4th at Sacred Heart Invitational

In a tournament that was added to the schedule late last week, the Russell High School Boys Golf team took part in the Sacred Heart Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at the Salina Municipal Golf Course.

Russell placed fourth as a team with a score of 365 while host Sacred Heart won the tournament, turning in a score of 312, defeating second place Hutchinson Trinity Catholic by 14 strokes.

Jake Mooney led all Russell Golfers by finishing 11th with a 15 over par 85 on his scorecard.  Tyler Casebolt of Hutchinson Trinity Catholic won the individual tournament title edging out Sacred Heart's Will Tuttle in a playoff.

The Russell Golfers are next in action on Monday, April 13 at a tournament hosted by Hutchinson Central Christian.  Tee time is set for 1 p.m.
