Broncos Welcome New Head Coach, Return Several Speedy Weapons
New Russell High School Head Football Coach Cole Greenwood hopes to build on the recent success of the RHS football program this fall with a balance of professionalism and aggression.
Greenwood steps into the job following the departure of Christien Ozores for Salina South High School. The Broncos were 4-5 in 2023 and 6-4 in 2022 under Ozores.
Greenwood also replaced Ozores as the physical education and weights teacher at the high school and has been in Russell for a few months working with the student athletes during the summer.
Greenwood is a 2015 graduate of Lawrence High School.
He said he was fortunate to play for and coach with very talented men.
