Concordia CNB edged Clay Center 4-3 Wednesday evening in Lucas to win the 70th K-18 State Baseball Tournament and wrest the title away from Clay Center which had won the championship in 2020.  The two rivals are separated by 44 miles in North Central Kansas.

By winning the crown, Concordia CNB was awarded the A.E. Rodgers traveling trophy.  It was also Concordia CNB's fourth state championship in the last 11 years and their first since 2018.

In the third place contest earlier Wednesday, Phillipsburg overcame a 5-2 deficit and rallied to defeat Smith Center 7-6.
