Four RHS Wrestlers State Ranked by KWCA
Four members of the Russell High School wrestling team are state ranked by Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.
In Class 3-2-1A, senior Tyler Moresco (10-1) remains #1 at 195 pounds, while senior Jacob Windholz (18-3) is fifth at 145 pounds.
On the girls side in 4-1A, freshman Jaden Ney (13-3) is fourth at 132 pounds. Freshman Tionna Napue re-enters the rankings at #6 at 120 with a perfect 16-0 record this season.
The Hoxie boys are the top ranked team in 3-2-1A followed by Plainville, Beloit, Wellsville and Silver Lake. Hill City is sixth followed by Republic County, Norton, Halstead and Erie.
The Pratt girls at #1 in 4-1A followed by McPherson, Burlington, Wellington and Lakin. Hoisington is sixth followed by Eureka, Baldwin, Chapman and Mulvane.
The Russell girls wrestle in the Hoisington Invitational on Thursday, January 13 at 2 PM and then go to the Hays High Invite on Saturday, January 15 at 9:30 AM. Next up for the RHS boys is the Scott City Invitational on Saturday, January 15 at 9:30 AM.
