Game 1: Haven 19, Russell-Victoria 3
Game 2: Haven 21, Russell-Victoria 0

The Russell-Victoria Lady Bronco Softball team closed out the home portion of its 2025 season on Monday at Memorial Park with a doubleheader against Haven.  The Wildcats who had 15 wins coming into Monday's games, pounded out a total of 41 hits on their way to a sweep by scores of 19-3 and 21-0.

In Game 1, Haven scored in every inning and their offensive attack was highlighted by a pair of home runs, including a grand slam in their final at bat. Russell-Victoria scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning on a single by Daryss Barrera which brought home Ashlyn Henley who had led off the inning with a walk, then Jamie Toon came home to score on a Wildcat error that allowed Barrera to take second base.

The other Lady Bronco run scored on a passed ball in the fourth inning.  The game ended after five innings due to the run rule.

In Game 2, Haven used double-digit rallies in the second and third innings to put the contest away after three frames and one hour. Avery Browner who was the winning pitcher in both games combined on a no-hitter with Ella Bontrager, allowing one Russell-Victoria runner to reach base when Reyna Anschutz led off the game by reaching on an error.

Gracelynn Dinkel pitched both games for Russell-Victoria (6-18).

In between games of the doubleheader, Anschutz and fellow senior Kiera Lee were honored during the Senior Recognition Day ceremony during their final home appearance at Memorial Park.

The Lady Broncos will close out the regular season on Thursday, May 8 when they travel to Salina for a doubleheader with Sacred Heart.  First pitch for Game 1 is set for 4 p.m.
