KSHSAA Releases Brackets for Football Playoffs, Broadcast Plans Announced
The Kansas State High School Activities Association has released the brackets for the State Football Playoffs.
In the 8-Player Division ll Playoffs, Victoria will host Fairfield in the first round while Osborne will play host to Blue Valley-Randolph.
In the 8-Player Division l Playoffs, Sylvan-Lucas will visit Central Plains while Lincoln will host its first playoff game in more than a decade as the Leopards take on Little River.
In the Class 2A Playoffs, Ellsworth, which advanced to the state quarterfinals a year ago, will travel to Hoisington to battle the Cardinals.
Russell and Ellinwood did not qualify for the playoffs. Russell will finish the season with a Week 9 playoff game while Ellinwood's season is over as the Eagles were not able to secure an opponent for this week.
Russell Radio will broadcast four area games on Thursday and Friday, October 31 and November 1. On Thursday, the Victoria-Fairfield game will be on KRSL 95.9, while the Lincoln-Little River game will be on KZRS 107.9. On Friday, the Russell-Southwestern Heights game will be on KRSL 95.9 and the Ellsworth-Hoisington game will be on KZRS 107.9. All games kick off at 7 PM except the Russell-Southwestern Heights game, which will begin at 6 PM. All four games will be streamed on KRSL.com and on your Alexa device.
