Lady Bronco Wrestling Loses Dual to Stockton in Tie-Breaker

The Russell Lady Bronco Wrestling team took part in its first dual match in program history on Thursday evening at Stockton.

The Lady Broncos took a limited number of wrestlers to Stockton to in order to save most of their roster for the regular season-ending Panther Classic coming up on Friday in Phillipsburg.

The two teams finished in a 24-24 tie with Stockton winning the tie-breaker based on more falls earlier in matches.

At 110 pounds Gracelynn Dinkel lost her match by fall, Mya Trevino won her match by fall at 115 pounds, Kinsey Zorn won her match by fall while wrestling five pounds above her weight class at 125 pounds, Chaysie Bachman lost her match by fall at 130 pounds, Allissa Vopat lost her match by fall at 140 pounds, MCL Champion and #1-ranked wrestler in Class 4-1A Jayden Ney won her match by forfeit at 145 pounds, and Elena Solze won a match by fall at 155 pounds.  Russell also lost a match at 190 pounds by forfeit.

Russell closes its regular season on Friday at the Panther Classic in Phillipsburg with matches beginning at 3 p.m.
