Lady Broncos Drop Decision to Haven

The Russell-Victoria Lady Broncos Softball team gained a bonus home game on Tuesday thanks to a scheduling mix-up on the part of their opponents from Haven.

Haven discovered they had scheduled too many games beyond their 26-game allotment and were only able to play one varsity game, which had been scheduled to be held in Haven but was played at Memorial Park instead. 

The Wildcats didn't mind the minor inconvenience as they used a big rally in the seventh inning to pull away from the Lady Broncos, 14-5.

Russell-Victoria (4-19) will conclude the regular season on Thursday, May 7 when they host Sacred Heart at Memorial Park.  First pitch for the opening game of the doubleheader is set for 4 p.m. and the Senior Day ceremony will take place between games.
