Lady Broncos Finish 9th at Panther Classic

Due to minor injuries and illness, the Russell-Sylvan-Lucas Lady Bronco Wrestling team competed at the Panther Classic in Phillipsburg on Friday with a limited roster but placed ninth out of 21 teams with 46 points.

Just four wrestlers took part in the event.  Mya Trevino finished fourth at 115 pounds with a 2-2 record, Kinsey Zorn was second at 125 pounds with a 3-1 mark, Chaysie Batchman finished fourth at 130 pounds with a record of 3-2 while Elena Solze went 1-2 and did not place.

Great Bend won the Panther Classic with a total score of 147 points, far outpacing second place Trego.

The Lady Broncos will now turn their attention to the Class 4-1A Regional which will be held in Scott City on Saturday, February 10.
