Lady Broncos Finish Regular Season with Split at Sacred Heart

Game 1: Russell-Victoria 12, Sacred Heart 3
Game 2: Sacred Heart 10, Russell-Victoria 0
The Russell-Victoria Lady Bronco Softball team concluded the 2025 regular season on Thursday by splitting a pair of games in Salina against Sacred Heart. Russell-Victoria rolled to a 12-3 victory in the opener before the Lady Knights took the nightcap 10-0.
In Game 1, Jamie Toon went four for five and Daryss Barerra went three for four to pace the Lady Bronco offensive attack behind winning pitcher Gracelynn Dinkel. The game was briefly delayed by lightning in the sixth inning before Russell-Victoria finished off the win to break a three-game losing streak.
It was all Sacred Heart in Game 2 as Dinkel took the loss and the Lady Broncos were held to four hits.
Russell-Victoria (7-19) will next be in action at the Class 3A Regional hosted by Minneapolis High School. Brackets are expected to be released sometime this weekend.
