Lady Broncos Split Home Triangular

After a tough day of matches at the Russell Invite last Saturday, the Russell High School Volleyball team rebounded Tuesday evening to gain a split of their triangular at Amos Morris Gymnasium.

In their first match, the Lady Broncos fell to Hoxie in a hard-fought three-set match by scores of 21-25, 25-23 and 19-25.  Russell won the nightcap from Plainville in straight sets 25-14, 25-15.

Russell is now 10-9 overall and 5-3 in District play.  The Lady Broncos return to action on Tuesday, September 27 to take part in a quad of matches at TMP-Marian which will also include Smith Center and Phillipsburg.  First serve will be at 3:30 p.m.
