Lady Broncos Sweep Goodland, Continue Hot Start

The Russell-Victoria Softball team continued its fast start to the 2021 season Tuesday afternoon by sweeping a road doubleheader at Goodland.

The Lady Broncos plated 31 runs as they took down the Cowgirls by a score 19-8 in Game 1 and 12-4 in Game 2.

Russell-Victoria improved its record to 7-0 on the season and surprassed their win total for the 2018 and 2019 seasons when they won six games each.

The Lady Broncos will face their first MCL opponent of the season on Friday, April 16 when they travel to Hays to face arch-rival TMP-Marian. Weather permitting, first pitch for Game 1 is set for 4 p.m.
