Moresco Finishes 14th at Russell Invitational, Pratt Takes Team Title
The Russell High School boys golf team hosted their annual tournament on Thursday, April 28 at the Russell Municipal Course.
Eight schools competed in the 18 hole tournament - Russell, Ellinwood, Ellsworth, Hoisington, Osborne, Phillipsburg, Pratt and Smith Center.
Pratt finished with a 347 and beat second-place Ellinwood by five strokes for the team title. Russell was seventh with a 418.
Ellinwood's Drew Heinz and Mason Moore went 1-2 in the individual race. Heinz had a 75 and Moore a 79. Russell was led by Tyler Moresco who tied for 14th with a 93. Also for the Broncos, Herbie Shumaker posted a 103, Logan Keller a 105, James Pummell a 117 and Graham Dreiling a 125.
Russell plays in the TMP Invitational on Monday, May 2. Tee time is at 9 AM.
