RHS Runners Bring Home Three Medals in Opener

The Russell High School cross country team got its season underway on Thursday, Sept. 2 at the Hoisington Invitational held at the Lake Barton Course.

Camille Dortland led the way with a third place finish in the girls varsity race. The RHS senior posted a time of 24:49. In the boys varsity race, Tyler Lampert ran a 22:03 and took 10th. In the boys junior varsity run, Marcus Koetkemeyer had a time of 29:05 and placed third.

Next up for Russell is a trip to Stockton for the Tiger Invite on Thursday, Sept. 9.
