RHS Runners Earn Two Medals in P-Burg

Russell had four runners compete in the Mid-Continent League cross country meet in Phillipsburg on Thursday, Oct. 7 and two earned medals.

Sam Whitten and Hunter Throop each ran in the boys junior varsity race. Whitten took fourth place with a time of 21:03. Throop placed 13th with a 26:00.

Camille Dortland was in the running for a top-15 finish in the girls varsity race, but was hampered by a calf injury late in the race. The RHS senior finished with a time of 24:42 and missed out on a medal.

Marcus Koetkemeyer posted a time of 24:27 in the boys varsity run and did not medal.

Russell heads to Downs for the Lakeside meet on Thursday, Oct. 14.
