RHS Runners Wrap Up Regular Season in Downs

The Russell High School cross country team ran in their final regular season meet on Thursday, Oct. 14 at the Lakeside Invitational in Downs.

Marcus Koetkemeyer, Tyler Lampert and Sam Whitten all competed in the boys varsity race, but did not medal. Lampert ran a 21:17, Koetkemeyer a 24:10 and Whitten a personal best time of 21:01 in his first varsity race.

Camille Dortland posted a time of 23:28 in the girls varsity race and fell short of the medals.

Russell travels to Lakin on Saturday, Oct. 23 for the Class 3A Regional. The girls run at 11 AM and the boys at 11:35 AM.
