Russell Blue Runs into Ellsworth, Ness City to Open Summer
It's been a tough start to the summer for the Russell Blue 15-and-under baseball team.
After having their season opening doubleheader at Hoisington postponed due to wet field conditions, Russell dropped a pair of home games to Ellsworth 11-3 and 13-9 on Friday, June 4 at the Memorial Park Complex and then ran into Ness City on Monday, June 7 and was swept 16-6 and 14-3 also at the Memorial Park Complex.
Russell (0-4) tries again for their first win on Thursday, June 10 when they travel to Ellinwood for the 6pm doubleheader.
