Russell Girls Remain #1, Boys 10th in 3-2-1A; 9 RHS Wrestlers Ranked

The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association rankings are out for the week of February 3.

The Russell girls remain the top ranked team in Class 3-2-1A followed by Norton, Oakley, Plainville and Smith Center. Douglass is sixth followed by Phillipsburg, Leoti, Sterling and St. Francis.

The Russell boys drop one spot to tenth in 3-2-1A. Hoxie stays #1 followed by Atchison County, Norton, West Franklin and Southeast of Saline. Smith Center is sixth followed by Caney Valley, Ellsworth, Jayhawk-Linn and Russell.

Seven Russell girls are state ranked this week.

Averie Counts (30-0) stays #1 at 130 pounds.

Kinsey Zorn (16-0) is #1 at 145.

Aaliyah Trevino (27-5) tops the 155 division.

Arianna Weigel (28-3) drops one spot to third at 120.

Mya Trevino (27-4) is third at 135.

Chaysie Bachman (25-3) remains #3 at 140.

Karsyn Hamlin (10-2) stays fifth at 125.

Camry Ney (15-7) drops out of the rankings this week at 115.

Two members of the Russell boys team are ranked.

Xzander Donner (30-0) remains #1 at 106.

Xzephren Donner (32-1) is second at 120.

Kolten Jones (22-5) drops out of the rankings at 190.

This week, the Russell boys and girls get their final tune up before regionals when they go to Hill City for a duel on Tuesday, February 3. 3-2-1A Regionals for the Russell girls is February 13-14 in WaKeeney. The Russell boys go the Norton 3-2-1A Regional on February 21.
