Russell Rangers Host Season-Ending Tournament

The Russell Rangers 11 and Under Baseball team coached by Cole Neidenthal, Travis Decker and Brent Homeier hosted a tournament to wrap up their 2021 season on Saturday, June 26 at Russell Recreation's Memorial Park.

The Rangers competed hard in all three of their games before eventually falling to their opponents.  In their first game, the Rangers were outlasted by the Hays Titans 9-5, the Abilene-Salina Astros defeated the Rangers in their second game of the day 9-2 and the Rangers then finished the day with a 14-4 loss to the Stars and Stripes of Hays.  The tournament drew approximately 250 spectators.

Stars and Stripes won the Tournament with a 3-0 record, the Astros placed second and the Titans were third.
