Russell's Moresco Qualifies for State Golf
Russell's Tyler Moresco is headed to the Class 3A Boys State Golf Tournament.
The Russell High School senior qualified finishing tied for ninth with a 91 at the Larned Regional on Monday, May 16 at the Larned Country Club.
Four other Broncos played in the regional, but fell short of state. Logan Keller posted a 102 and was 26th. Herbie Shumaker had a 106 and was 31st. Graham Dreiling tied for 37th with a 117. James Pummell shot a 145 and was 45th.
Easton Fitzpatrick from Larned won the individual title with a 72. Larned won the team title with a 348 and edged second-place Cimarron by two strokes.
The 3A Boys State Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24 at the Salina Municipal Course.
