Russell's Suchy Remains in KWCA Rankings
The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released its high school rankings for the week of January 16 and one area wrestler is in the Class 3-2-1A poll.
Russell sophomore Brayden Suchy drops one spot to fourth at 157 pounds. Russell sophomore Jaden Ney had been ranked #1 at 135 in all classes until this week, but drops out of the poll with an injury that has sidelined her since before Christmas.
Hoxie is the top ranked boys team in 3-2-1A this week followed by Sabetha, Norton, Smith Center and Minneapolis. Republic County is sixth followed by Halstead, Ellis, Atchison County and Rossville.
On the girls side, Baldwin is #1 in 4-1A followed by Pratt, Columbus, Rossville and Chanute. Fort Scott is sixth followed by Oskaloosa, Mulvane, Tonganoxie and Hoisington.
