Seven Area Teams in KVA Preseason Rankings
The Kansas Volleyball Association has released its preseason rankings and seven area teams are included.
Defending state champion Ellinwood will start out the season atop the Class 2A poll with TMP-Marian at #10. In 1A Division 1, Sylvan-Lucas is eighth. Victoria is seventh in 1A Division 2. In 3A, Hoisington is second and Ellsworth eighth. In 5A, Great Bend is ranked sixth.
Along with TMP-Marian, there is one other team from the Mid-Continent League ranked. Oakley is fifth in 2A.
Current classifications for the rankings are based on enrollments from the 2025-26 school year, and the rankings will be adjusted when the updated classifications are released at the end of September.
Most area teams will scrimmage this week in preseason Jamborees before the season gets started next week ahead of the Labor Day weekend.
