Three Broncos Medal at MCL League Tournament, Strobel Wins League Title
Three members of the Russell High School boys wrestling team medaled at the Mid-Continent League Tournament on Friday, January 27 in Norton.
Brayden Strobel pinned all three of his opponents and captured the 175 pound league championship. Brayden Suchy went 2-1 and finished runner-up at 157. Teagen Pfeifer went 1-2 and placed third at 165.

On the girls side for Russell, Madison Raybern went 0-3.
Norton won both the boys and girls team titles. The Norton boys finished with 154 points and beat second place Smith Center by 46.5 points. Russell was third with 61 points. The Norton girls had 116 points and beat second place Oakley by 48 points.
Next up for the Russell boys and girls is the Phillipsburg Invitational on Saturday, February 4. Matches begin at 10 AM. It's the final action of the regular season for the RHS boys and girls before regionals.
