Victoria Finishes Second at Ellis Invitational, Area Teams Off Saturday

The Victoria High School volleyball team went 4-1 and took second place at the Ellis Invitational on Saturday , October 1 at the EHS Gym.

In pool play, the Lady Knights beat Plainville in two (25-11, 25-10), Stockton in two (25-13, 25-21) and Northern Valley in three (25-18, 23-25, 25-23).

In the semifinals, Victoria cruised by Sacred Heart in two (25-17, 25-8), but lost to Ellis in the championship in two (25-12, 25-17).

Victoria improves to 14-6 and plays in a triangular in Ellinwood on Tuesday, Oct. 4 with the host Eagles and Central Plains.

Russell, Natoma, Sylvan-Lucas and Wilson all were off on Saturday, October 1.
