American Red Cross Blood Drive in Russell is May 17

The American Red Cross reminds eligible donors to give blood in the weeks to come.

Donors of all blood types – especially type O blood donors – are crucial to keeping shelves fully stocked with blood products throughout the month.

With no substitute for blood and no way to manufacture it, volunteer donors are essential for hospital patients who count on transfusions every day.

There is a local blood drive in Russell on May 17 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Otterbein Methodist Church at 527 North Maple Street.
