Run for the Wall
Run for the Wall

On May 19, the Central Route Riders of Run for the Wall will ride through Russell.

Each year, four routes of motorcycle riders depart from California, travel across the country to Washington, D.C. and arrive in D.C. on Memorial Day weekend.

The mission for this ride is to bring attention for Prisoners of War, Missing in Action, Killed in Action and Wounded in Action veterans.

You can show your support for current or past veterans by lining Highway 40 and wave these riders on as they pass through town. Bring your flags if you have them.

Estimated time of arrival is 3 to 3:20 PM.

They will arrive in Russell from Interstate 70 Exit 180 at Balta Road and parade through Russell. They will then head to Bunker Hill via Old US Highway 40 and fuel in Bunker Hill.
