Agriscience Award Top Placers Recognized

The Agriscience Fair was held before the 96th Kansas FFA Convention in Manhattan, but winners were recognized during the third session at Kansas State University's campus.

Winning students will represent Kansas FFA this coming fall at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.

Students compete as individuals or in pairs to make scientific discoveries in one of the six categories and are broken down into age divisions. The Agriscience Fair is a competition for Kansas FFA members interested in the science and technology of today's agricultural sector.

The Agriscience Fair awards are sponsored by Merck Animal Health and Pioneer.

Winners include in Animal Systems Division 5 Danica Hicks of Ellsworth, in Animal Systems Division 6 Rilee Holt and Cadence Togerson of Ellsworth, in Food Products and Processing Systems Division 5 Rebekah Vague of Ellsworth, in Plant Systems Division 5 Hannah Gideon of Russell, in Plant Systems Division 6 Jodi Donley and Maggie Bohl of Ellsworth, and in Social Science Division 4 Kate Rathbun and Josie Kueser of Ellsworth.
