The City of Russell Fire Department's carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher program has been a hit. The Fire Department has been busy delivering critical safety equipment to help keep citizens safe.

They still have some available but stock is running low.

According to Fire Chief Dylan Riedel, the program has been a bigger hit than they could have imagined. Even the kids on summer break are getting in on the fun he said.

If you're still needing a fire extinguisher or CO detector, please contact the City of Russell Fire Department via phone at 785-483-7129 or email Chief Riedel at dylan@russellcity.org.

The Fire Department thanks the Russell County Area Community Foundation for providing the grant to make this possible.
