Gorham Fire Department Responds to House Fire Tuesday in Rural Russell County

The Gorham Fire Department responded to a house fire Tuesday morning in rural Russell County.

According to Gorham Fire Chief Glen Blundon, firefighters were paged at 4:15 AM Tuesday to a farmstead in the 3200 block of 181st Street for a house fire.

Firefighters from Rural Fire District Five and Russell Grant also responded.

The house suffered significant damage according to Blundon and was totaled.

Blundon said the fire started in the kitchen and was ruled to have been caused by an electrical issue.

There were no injuries.

Russell County EMS and the Russell County Sheriff's Office also responded.
