LaCrosse Man Injured in Concrete Mixer Truck Rollover Crash North of Russell

A LaCrosse man was injured Monday afternoon in a concrete mixer truck rollover crash north of Russell on US Highway 281.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 1:03 PM Monday, a 2019 Mack concrete mixer truck driven by 49-year-old Shiloh J. Tomlinson of LaCrosse was northbound on US Highway 281 between Land Road and the Saline River north of Russell when the tires of the vehicle dropped off into the east ditch.

The vehicle overcorrected, traveled across the highway and entered the west ditch.

The vehicle rolled an unknown number of times and came to rest on the passenger side 30 feet off the roadway.

Tomlinson was transported by EagleMed helicopter to Salina Regional Medical Center with suspected serious injuries.

He was buckled up at the time of the crash.
