Possible Monkeypox Exposures Investigated

Health officials are confirming that they investigated two possible monkeypox exposures in Ellis County.

According to KSAL Radio in Salina, Ellis County health officials confirmed the details of the investigation this week, and add that they have received a small dose of a monkeypox vaccine from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

There have been two confirmed monkeypox cases in Kansas so far, including one in Johnson County and another in Shawnee County.
