Russell County Association of Churches Supports Russell Toys for Tots

The Russell County Association of Churches presented $250 to Micky Zorn to help the newly established Russell County Toys for Tots Program.

These funds will be used to help fill in the gaps after toy and book donations are received and sorted.

Donations of toys and books for all ages (birth through high school) are greatly appreciated. Donations should be new and unwrapped. Donations will be accepted through Friday, December 17. Toys for Tots donation boxes are located in businesses throughout Russell County.

The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is a 70-year national charitable program run by the US Marine Corps Reserve, providing happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each Christmas holiday season. Last year the Marine Corps fulfilled the holiday hopes and dreams of seven million less fortunate children in 792 communities nationwide. Since 1947 over 244 million children have been assisted.
