Each year, high school FFA chapters around the country celebrate National FFA Week. This year, it's February 20 through 27.

It's a time to share what FFA is and the impact it has on members every day.

The Russell High School FFA chapter has several fun activities and events planned for students and teachers. Students will participate in spirit days. Monday is 'Merica Monday. Tuesday is Cow Print Tuesday. Wednesday is FFA T-Shirt Day. Thursday is CAMO Thursday. Friday is Farmer Friday.

RHS FFA members also will host a staff appreciation breakfast Wednesday, a Battle of the Schools Food Drive with Ruppenthal Middle School students and an FFA Game Night on Friday in the gyms starting at 6:30 PM. All RHS students are invited and asked to bring a non-perishable item.

Last but not least, FFA members are coordinating a kiss the pig contest. 10 teachers are competing against one another. The teachers who collect the most money will kiss a pig live on the RHS FFA Facebook page on Friday.

Listen to KRSL Russell Radio throughout the week for messages from Russell High School FFA students.
