Class 3A Baseball Regional Brackets Released
The Kansas State High School Activities Association has released the bracket for the Class 3A Baseball Regional to be hosted by Russell High School.
The Russell-Victoria Bronco Baseball team with a record of 8-11 is the #5 seed in the regional and will play their first round game on the road at #4 seed Hoisington Central Plains (11-9) on Friday, May 10 at 6 p.m. in Hoisington.
The winner of this game will advance to the semifinals at the Shaffer Sports Complex in Russell on Tuesday, May 14 at 2 p.m. against the winner of the game between top seed Holcomb (17-5) and #8 seed Goodland (3-13).
Other first round match-ups on May 10 include #2 seed Colby (12-8) facing #7 seed Southwestern Heights (6-12) and #3 seed Cimarron-Ingalls (12-8) hosting #6 seed Lakin (7-11). The winners of those two contests will meet in the other semifinal at the Shaffer Sports Complex on May 14 at 4:30 p.m. The championship game will be played at approximately 7 p.m. on May 14 at the Shaffer Sports Complex with the winner and Regional Champion advancing to the Class 3A State Tournament at Tointon Family Stadium on the campus of Kansas State University in Manhattan on May 23 and 24.
The Russell-Victoria Baseball game on May 10 at Hoisington-Central Plains will be broacast live on KRSL 95.9 FM and online at KRSL.com and also streamed on all Alexa devices.
SYLVAN-LUCAS-LINCOLN TO COMPETE IN CLASS 3A MARYSVILLE REGIONAL
The Sylvan-Lucas-Lincoln Baseball team with a record of 6-11 will be the #5 seed in the Class 3A Baseball Regional to be hosted by Marysville High School.
The Mustangs will play their first round game on Thursday, May 9 in Ellsworth against #4 seed Southeast of Saline (13-9). First pitch is at 5 p.m. A Sylvan-Lucas-Lincoln victory would advance them to the semifinals at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 against the winner of the contest between top seed Ellsworth (14-4) and #8 seed Minneapolis (2-18).
The other two first round games on May 9 are at Feldhausen Field in Marysville with #2 seed Nemeha Central (12-8) taking on #7 seed Riley County (5-17) followed by #3 seed Beloit (12-8) facing #6 seed Marysville (6-12). The winners of these games will meet in the second semifinal on May 14 at 4:30 p.m. with the championship game set for 7 p.m. The Marysville Regional champion will also advance to the Class 3A State Tournament in Manhattan on May 23 and 24.
