KSHSAA Announces Spring Sports Regional Assignments

The Kansas State High School Activities Association has announced their 2024 Regional Assignments for Spring Sports.

The Russell-Victoria Baseball team has been selected to host a Class 3A Baseball Regional at Russell High School's Shaffer Field between May 10-14.  Russell was previously selected to host the same regional in 2022 but it was moved to Larned and Great Bend after a wind storm left Shaffer Field unplayable.  The infield playing surface has since been replaced with an artificial turf.  Other schools taking part include: Cimarron-Ingalls, Colby, Goodland, Hoisington-Central Plains, Holcomb, Kismet-Southwestern Heights and Lakin.

The Sylvan-Lucas-Lincoln Baseball team will compete in the Class 3A Regional hosted by Marysville High School which also includes: Beloit, Ellsworth, Southeast of Saline, Marysville, Minneapolis, Riley County, and Nemaha Central.

The Russell-Victoria Girls Softball team will take part in the Class 3A Regional May 13 and 14 hosted by Hoisington High School which also includes: Beloit, Ellsworth, Southeast of Saline, Hoisington-Central Plains, Smoky Valley, Minneapolis and Plainville-Stockton (Rooks County).

The Sylvan-Lucas Softball team will host a Class 2-1A Regional May 13 and 14 which also includes: Bennington, Ell-Saline, Ellinwood, Ellis, TMP-Marian, Little River and Sacred Heart.

The Russell High School Boys and Girls Track and Field Teams will compete in the Class 3A Regional on May 16 hosted by Beloit High School which also includes: Beloit, Cimarron, Colby, Ellsworth, Goodland, Southeast of Saline, Hoisington, Holcomb, Lakin, Larned, Smoky Valley, Lyons, Minneapolis, Norton and Phillipsburg.

The track teams from Natoma, Sylvan-Lucas and Victoria will take part in the Class 1A Regional hosted by Washington County High School on May 16 which also includes: Axtell, Beloit-St. John's, Centralia, Clifton-Clyde, Lakeside, Frankfort, Glasco, Hanover, Doniphan West, St. Xavier of Junction City, Thunder Ridge, Linn, Logan, Rock Hills, Miltonvale, Onaga, Osborne, Blue Valley-Randolph, Pike Valley, Solomon, Stockton, Tescott, Tipton Catholic, Troy, Wakefield and Washington County.  

The track teams from Lincoln will compete in the Class 2A Regional hosted by Hill City High School which also includes: Ellinwood, Ellis, TMP-Marian, Hill City, Hoxie, Stanton County, Leoti-Wichita County, Meade, Medicine Lodge, Oakley, Plainville, Smith Center, Sublette, Syracuse and Trego Community.

The Russell High School Boys Golf team will take part in the Class 3A Regional hosted by Norton Community High School on May 13.  Other schools competing include: Beloit, Cimarron, Colby, Goodland, Holcomb, Lakin, Norton and Phillipsburg.
