Muller Signs to Play Hoops at Hastings (Neb.) College

Edwin Muller, the son of Kai and Angie Muller of Russell signed a National Letter of Intent to play Basketball at Hastings College in Nebraska on Tuesday morning during a ceremony held at Hays High School where Muller is a senior.

Muller, who played 47 career varsity games for Hays High, started all 21 games for the Indians during the 2023-24 season as they won the Western Athletic Conference Championship with a 7-1 league mark.  Muller earned honors both on and off the court as he was selected to the All-WAC defensive team and named Academic All-State by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association.

Muller is a three-sport star at Hays High where he also competed in Soccer and Track.  Muller was part of the Indians' 4x400 meter-relay team which qualified for the Class 5A State Track Meet in 2023.

Muller will study Business at Hastings.  The Broncos, coached by Todd Raridon went 23-9 during the 2023-24 campaign which ended with a narrow 68-67 loss to Mid-America Christian in the first round of the National NAIA Tournament.
