Six Russell Wrestlers Qualify for Nationals

Six members of the Russell Wrestling Club will compete in the Heartland National Folk Style Duals in Council Bluffs, Iowa on April 16, 17 and 18.

Peyton Gibson and Robert Klee qualified in the elementary division, Teagan Pfeifer in the middle school division and Karsyn Hamlin, Jaden Ney and Lily Pendergrass all in the girls division.

To make nationals, wrestlers had to finish in the top six of their age/weight division at the qualifying tournament held March 7 at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane.

The Heartland National Folk Style Duals will be held at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
